I have had the best experience with IKP Family Medicine. I recently have been seeing Dr. Kashyap and he is delightful. Very caring and takes times to educate and inform you of all the risks, benefits and alternatives to your diagnosis and treatment options. Additionally, Ariyah in the lab was EXCEPTIONAL!! I have very small veins and I am always so nervous to get blood draws. She took her time and accessed my vein on the first attempt and WITHOUT ANY PAIN. So Grateful!
Please make sure you see an actual Doctor for your needs. I have a thyroid issue and the PA I saw did a general test and sent me straight to a surgeon without sending me to an endocrinologist. I called to see if I can get a referral to see a specialist and I kept getting the run around. She kept referring me to the wrong doctors and ordered the wrong test and wouldn't abide by my rights as a patient. I would not recommend this office. If you have thyroid issues, my suggestion is to get a second consultation and additional testing related to your issue to before proceeding to surgery. I never had a second consultation. Now I can since insurance plan changed and here's hoping my next appointment is successful. I just have to restart the whole process again... 6 months later with a thyroid cyst.
I was a patient 1 year ago and everything was great (location, service, appointment scheduling, follow up) , however I'm sad to say that this location is NO LONGER RECOMMENDED. I've tried calling 15 different times over the course of 3 days at different hours and no one ever picked up the phone. Unfortunately, this is not an anomaly for that week. My girlfriend tried calling 3 months ago multiple times and ZERO ANSWER. I'm astonished that people even come here. How am I supposed to ask questions, get paperwork, or any other medical related requests? How is my pharmacist going to get hold of someone if there is a question or verification needed?
In short, they used to be good, but now lack any semblance of patient customer service. This is probably a good example of saving a few dollars, but losing tons of clients in the process. Very short-sighted business decision.
I would like to share how grateful I am for Dr. Patil and his staff. Dr. Patil is very caring and always seems very concerned about my issues. I feel that I get the best care your staff can make or break you. The staff at IKP is always very courteous and very helpful, I thank you for the opportunity to share this information I would recommend IKP to anyone that’s looking for a great doctor and a great staff.
Very nice facilities and great administrative staff. The physicians and nurses are top notch. Makes for a very comfortable environment.

I had my first visit as a new patient today and had a great experience. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly and efficient in taking care of the usual paperwork tasks. The tech that worked me up was also very pleasant and professional. I already really like NP Amy-she is warm and doesn't rush and seems relatable and concerned about her patients and is just overall nice and lovely to interact with. The office has a very smooth flow and everyone is prepared and knows what is going on. This office does a great job combining efficiency and warmth/care for patients. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this practice strongly after my experience today. It is also a great location and a very beautiful office. The office called me back promptly with lab results and I was so glad not to have to chase them down!
My husband and I have gone here for years. We moved away farther and still drove across Houston to see Dr. Patel. The staff here is horrible. I have gotten cancelled on repeatedly so I stop going a long time ago. Then they put my husband on addictive ADHD meds. Then there was trouble finding the medication so they put him on another med, which is fine but when my husband has to call around Houston to find the pharmacy that had the meds, and do their jobs for them. He would call them and tell them where to send the prescription and when they finally did they sent I UNDER half the dose so barely 2 weeks worth of meds after my husband calling around for almost a week and he had none of his meds the whole time!!! They were not bothered to call the prescription in. My husband being frustrated because he is now on an addictive medication his body needs. They have attitudes at that office, they do not care about patients. It’s a money game for them. So because my husband told them the truth that they are not doing their jobs and they are quacks. They called and said he is not welcome back, when they are the rude ones and have no care or compassion. Do not be a doctor or nurse if you do not care about people! Run as fast as you can because they will put you on medication you get addicted to, not help you get your medication, and then turn it around on you like you’re the problem, and then send you off without a care!
Been going to them for 4yrs and the service and care has become awful. Patient portal never works yet I'm asked to check it but when I advise the portal has been down for a while I get 0 feedback. Have called during many different office hours and I'm very lucky if someone picks up the phone or calls me back. Often times I have to follow up on my voice-mail. I brought that up to the staff and was told "did you try my extension?" And no. Why? Because in the 4yrs I've been a patient (who has expressed this concern before), no one as ever mentioned staff having direct extensions, or at least ones that will pick up the phone. I should have paid attention to the first red flag in which I asked one of the doctors about discoloration and temperature irregulations in my feet and was told "oh, that's just a Caucasian thing" like seriously? Despite the few times I've had fairly better experience, it's putting up with the inconsistent service overall that I've had enough of, and with how dismissive they were in my most recent visit, I won't be coming back.
